KANSAS CITY, MO and BERKELY, CA — (September 15, 2005) — Handmark® and MobiTV® today announced that Handmark will be the exclusive North America distribution partner for online sales of MobiTV® for the Palm® Treo™.
MobiTV is the first global multimedia network and technology company targeting the more than 1.6 billion mobile phone users worldwide. MobiTV turns the Palm Treo into a portable TV, allowing users to watch live television right in the palm of their hand. The application is initially available for Palm Treo 650 smartphones from all U.S. carriers: Sprint, Verizon Wireless, and Cingular, as well as unlocked GSM Treo 650 smartphones on other U.S. carrier networks.
