Webtech to Provide Wireless Fleet Management to 300 Vehicles for Western Building Products Supplier
Burnaby, BC – September 20, 2005 –WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX-V:WEW), a leading supplier of mobile telematics has been selected to deploy wireless fleet management services and enhance productivity cycle times, customer service as well as overall safety and security in 300 vehicles for a large West Coast Building Products Supplier. In addition to the productivity and security enhancements, the Customer will be using the WebTech solution for efficient fuel tax credit calculations.
Having previously used a competing fleet management solution for a number of years, the Customer was looking for a reliable, high-quality solution that would allow them to track their assets in real time and offer opportunities to improve cycle time on a range of business processes. WebTech Wireless is supplying a comprehensive wireless productivity enhancement tool that provides the Customer with a high level of services. Driver performance metrics improves safety for both the vehicle and the driver and features such as Geofences and Landmarks, which notify customers of a truck’s impending arrival, allow warehouse personnel time to prepare. The Customer is also using telematics functionality for recording the length of time the Power Take Off (PTO) is engaged to enable accurate fuel tax credit billing.
