WirelessDevNet.com Press Release

SMS Media Group Adds Advanced Text Messaging Features to SMSdelivery.net

SMS Media Group (SMSMG) announces significant upgrades to its SMSdelivery.net text messaging platform. The web-based system allows businesses to effectively create, deliver, and track text message campaigns for the North American market.

Businesses that want to communicate with their customers by sending SMS (short message service), commonly called text messages, can set up an account on the system and easily integrate a SMS application with their web site using SMSdelivery.net's online interface. It's hosted environment makes it simple for businesses to create a SMS application by allowing them to leverage existing list management, subscriber profiling, and robust message delivery tools that include scheduling, targeting, and reporting of SMS messages.

"The SMSdelivery.net upgrade displays our continued focus to deliver the best SMS solutions for the North American marketplace" said Gary Brooks, chief executive officer of SMS Media Group. "With tremendous enhancements to features and performance, we believe SMSdelivery.net will change the way SMS campaigns are being deployed."

New features in the upgrade include short code integration, payment systems, and SMS gateway direct connections.

Short Codes:
A short code is a 5-digit cell phone number used to send and receive messages between cell phone subscribers, wireless carriers, and SMSdelivery.net. The short code acquisition and set up process is automated in the new release and can now be tracked online as wireless carriers accept and provision the short code to be recognized on their networks.

Payment Systems:
Businesses are able to charge wireless subscribers for SMS content using SMSdelivery.net's Premium SMS and PayPal modules. Premium SMS is where the wireless subscriber is charged for mobile content on their phone bill and the business splits these revenues with carriers; whereas with the PayPal module a subscriber can pay using a credit card and 100% of the revenues go to the business. The PayPal module is a great way to charge wireless subscribers a recurring monthly fee for mobile content due to the confidence and familiarity users have in making purchases using credit cards and PayPal.

Direct Connections:
Companies and wireless developers that wish to build their own SMS applications in house, can obtain a direct connection to the SMSdelivery.net platform and use the system as an SMS gateway. The Direct Connection services allow a business to focus on its core application development without having to build and absorb the costs of SMS messaging infrastructure.

SMSdelivery.net supports all major wireless carriers in the U.S. and Canada providing reach to almost 200 million wireless customers.
