NAVTEQ Announces LBS Developer Conference at CTIA Sponsored by Openwave Systems
CHICAGO, Aug. 15 -- NAVTEQ (NYSE: NVT), a leading global provider of digital map data for location-based solutions and vehicle navigation, is presenting the NAVTEQ LBS Developer Conference on September 11, 2006. Openwave, a leading independent provider of software solutions for the communications and media industries, is collaborating with NAVTEQ as the Signature Sponsor of the conference. This day-long event prior to CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment provides a unique forum, bringing together key industry experts and business development companies to help developers launch location services for both consumer and business applications.
The NAVTEQ Developer Conference will be held on Monday, September 11, 2006, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and will provide developers the opportunity to network, gain valuable insight on trends and opportunities, and get advice on developing location-based services in today's wireless world. Michael Powell, former FCC Chairman, will deliver the keynote address on the rise of digital technologies and the future impact on technology-driven businesses.
