Remoba Announces First Real-time Calendar Management for SMBs via Basic Mobile Phones
Santa Clara, Calif. – December 5, 2006 – Remoba, a leading provider of productivity applications for mobile phones, today announced its SMB business version of iDatebook – 6.0. This solution enables even basic mobile phones to have unlimited access to the user’s desktop calendar and the corporate calendar in real-time, including various meeting capabilities.
iDatebook 6.0 extends calendar and meeting functionality to basic mobile phones by providing various meeting capabilities. The Meeting Invitation feature allows users to invite a set of their contacts to a calendar event, the Meeting Scheduler then identifies the open dates and time slots for each contact, and the Meeting Tracker checks the status confirmation - accepted, declined, or undecided about the meeting invitation in real-time.
This solution allows an office administrator to update and control a centralized calendar. Any changes the administrator makes to the calendar will be automatically uploaded to the remote user’s phone in real-time. Coupled with two-way synchronization from desktop to phone and phone to desktop, this new feature ensures employees will always have the latest calendar updates – on the phone, the desktop and on the corporate server.
The user can review their calendar, make edits, and schedule appointments even while not connected to the mobile network. The next time wireless data coverage is available, iDatebook will sync calendar changes to the desktop calendar.
iDatebook 6.0 is now available on multiple CDMA carriers, including Verizon Wireless as part of their Get-It-Now program. Small to medium sized businesses can take advantage of this solution today.
