WirelessDevNet.com Press Release
LocatePLUS Expands Distribution of Wireless Access
BEVERLY, Mass., Dec. 21 -- LocatePLUS Holdings Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: LPHC - News), one of the fastest growing business-to- business and business-to-government providers of public information, announced today that the Tier-2 version of their LocatePLUS Wireless product is slated for release in Q1 of 2007. To date LP Wireless, a Java-based application that provides access to the LocatePLUS database on wireless, handheld devices, was limited to Tier-1 customers, which includes over 30 different Government and Law Enforcement Agencies. With the release of the Tier-2 version, LP Wireless will expand its customer base to include Professional Investigators, Attorneys, and qualified Fraud and Security Officials.
Customers accessing the Tier-2 version of LP Wireless will retain the same search functionality and capability as those customers currently using Tier-1, however, in order to comply with the information sharing laws outlined in the Fair Credit Reporting Act, they will need to select and agree to individual disclaimers before performing certain searches.
LocatePLUS Chief Executive Officer Jon Latorella stated, "We are proud to expand the reach of the LP Wireless application to those qualified members of the investigative professional community. LP Wireless has already proven a success within the Law Enforcement and Government communities and has played important roles in securing national safety at events such as the 2004 Democratic National Convention and at locations such as Boston's Logan Airport.
Latorella went on to say, "Allowing detectives immediate, in-the-field access to such a powerful investigative tool as LP Wireless, undoubtedly cuts down on time and costs, which as we know, are often the two most detrimental factors in an investigation. With access to LP Wireless our Tier-2 customers will have the in-the-field ability to run searches while tracking missing individuals or attempting to locate stolen vehicles. As a cost-efficient and time saving investigative tool, LP Wireless will not only result in customer successes, but when considering that there are more than 60,000 Private Investigators in the United States alone, LP Wireless should prove a financial success to us as well."
