Sendandsee to Launch Mobiprint™ 3.0 at the 2006 3GSM World Congress

Sendandsee’s patent pending mobiprint technology reaches its third version offering automated integration capabilities with professional content management systems, enhanced service creation and management, plus support for external mobile content players.

mobiprint 3.0 makes it easier for content companies to start production of mobile versions of their existing publications. The integration of mobiprint with existing publishing systems is realized dynamically at the data-level thus enabling smooth production launches and securing hassle-free updates of the systems.

The new version of mobiprint cuts down the initial implementation time of mobile publishing systems from weeks to just days. The creation and updates of mobile publications is now as easy as updating dynamic web- and content services utilising CMS technology.

Sendandsee mobiprint 3.0 consists of:

- Web-based authoring tools
- Management of content created in external content management systems (CMS)
- Updated server functionalities
- Support for WAP-publishing
- Support for external mobile content players

Sendandsee mobiprint 3.0 consists of four layers:

Publishing server
The new authoring tools are controlled with an easy web-based user interface. The web interface is used to control the content feeds, advertisements, reporting, and document storage.

Transition layer
To ensure clean content transfers with low latency, content updates will be packaged into one single file. Access control can be based on both handset IMEI and subscriber ID, or a combination thereof. Standard http will be used for actual transfer. Systems can be configured to deliver content during network idle times.

Mobile client
Special care has been taken to design the mobile client user interface to be as simple as possible, as the user interface needs to remain constant across diverse handsets. Downloadable and cached media content remains packaged in the handset memory to enable rudimentary content protection. Separate clients are developed for the major mobile platforms: Symbian, Java, and BREW. In addition to proprietary mobiprint-clients, mobiprint 3.0 enables support for third party media players.

API’s
Open application program interfaces are implemented for system integration purposes. mobiprint offers two distinct API's: 1. XML database access 2.REST upload.
