fastmobile Announces Mobile Application Development Agreement & Commercial Launch of Multi-Media IM

Chicago IL - fastmobile, a leader in mobile integrated messaging and content solutions, today announced a worldwide agreement with California Internet giant Yahoo!. Through this relationship, fastmobile will bring the rich, multimedia features enabled by their mobile Instant Communications Platform to select Yahoo! mobile services.

The first product delivered to Yahoo! under the agreement is a mobile multimedia version of Yahoo!’s popular Instant Messaging (IM) application, Yahoo!® Messenger. The application is part of the Yahoo! Go mobile service announced at the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This fastmobile-powered Yahoo! Messenger application delivers many exciting feature enhancements to mobile IM. Included in its advanced features is the ability to send voice IMs and cameraphone photos within an active conversation. The application also replicates the rich look and feel of the PC-based Yahoo! Messenger service.

John Hoffman, CEO of fastmobile said: “Yahoo! has been at the front of innovation in offering users their favorite desktop services on mobile phones and we’re delighted to have been selected by Yahoo! to be a partner in bringing such services to market.”
