Late Night Mobile Entertainment Leader Waat Media Hires David Mandell and James Fryer
MANDELL AND FRYER FILL TWO KEY EXECUTIVE POSITIONS TO DRIVE WAAT’S INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION
(Los Angeles, California)–WAAT Media (www.waat.com), the world leader in late night mobile entertainment for mobile phones and wireless devices, has appointed David Mandell to the post of Executive Vice President and General Counsel and James Fryer to Head of European Technical Operations and Architecture.
Mr. Mandell’s responsibilities include managing business and legal affairs; overseeing corporate governance and international expansion; establishing and implementing company policies and procedures and managing regulatory and contract compliance. “I have been fortunate to have worked with David on everything from licensing, distribution and talent deals to establishing major joint ventures and Sarbanes Oxley compliance”, stated Ian Aaron WAAT President and CEO. “David’s past 10 years of experience as SVP of Legal and Business Affairs at Gemstar TV Guide [GMST] and international distribution and licensing at Playboy make him uniquely suited to guide our corporate and legal affairs on a global basis”.
Mr. Fryer will serve as WAAT Media’s Director of International Platform Architecture and Integration overseeing platform development and the technical integration of WAAT Media’s services into major mobile operators worldwide. “James has been a technical pioneer in ring tone and mobile content distribution with over a decade of operational experience in the mobile industry,” said WAAT Media Managing Director, Adi McAbian. “James’ past five years concentrating on mobile technology as the former CTO and Head of Operations for UK-Based Mobile Streams, Ltd. [MOS] will help accelerate the deployments of our new video programming, chat services and promotional products worldwide”.
