WebTech Wireless Expands Customer Base in Utility Services Industry
BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- -- July 27, 2006 -- WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX VENTURE: WEW), a leading supplier of mobile telematics, has been contracted by On Target Utility Services, the leading provider of locating and construction services to customers throughout New England, to deploy Quadrant™ Fleet Management products and services in 170 of On Target's service vehicles. On Target is using the system to manage its fleet's service performance using Quadrant's real-time location reporting and comprehensive vehicle management reports.
The largest underground utility location company in New England, On Target's technicians process 2,500 - 3,500 ticket receipts per day across 100 - 130 sites. "When you are this busy, efficiency becomes paramount to continue to operate effectively and keep your customers happy. We use a ticket processing system that allows us to electronically receive and dispatch thousands of tickets to our technicians per day. However, we were lacking a system that would help us optimize our fleet productivity to let us do more work for less dollars," comments John Fallona, President of On Target. "We settled on WebTech's Quadrant as it is cost-effective, it has the most comprehensive tracking and vehicle maintenance reporting features, the installation and technical support from WebTech was effortless and the partnership with Cingular provided us with the best coverage for New England."
On Target currently uses WebTech's vehicle tracking, vehicle activity and vehicle maintenance reports to help the organization respond to customers in a more efficient way and be even more productive and profitable. Future plans are for On Target to use WebTech's geo-fencing capabilities to allow On Target to delineate geographic boundaries that will aid them in fuel tax reporting across the six states it serves.
