TAGG Offers Free Access to SMS Gateway

Thursday 16th March, London – Mobile agency iTAGG has launched a developer partner programme, enabling independent mobile developers, brands and marketing agencies to create their own mobile applications and deliver and charge for them through the iTAGG SMS gateway.

For independent developers the programme will enable them to deliver and charge for content and downloads quickly and easily via SMS message rather than relying on consumers to remember urls for WAP sites where content is stored. For brands and agencies with in-house resources it will afford them the creative and technical freedom to develop the mobile applications they want quickly and cost effectively without the need to employ a dedicated mobile marketing agency.

Access to the iTAGG gateway will be free for all developers and users will be given an unlimited number of free inbound keywords, the text prompts which distinguish one mobile campaign from another. At 5p per text payout rates for standard rate SMS will compete with some of the best in the industry.

iTAGG was recently named mBlox’s first certified solutions partner in the UK giving all iTAGG partners access to the same reliable carrier grade infrastructure to deliver messages as established corporate users .

Steve Procter, CEO, iTGG said, “Independent developers can now spend more time creating new content and services safe in the knowledge they have access to a reliable SMS gateway to push new service to market and bill for them as appropriate. Giving them access to the same infrastructure as much bigger players will create a more level playing field and help bring cutting edge mobile content to a much wider audience.”

He continued, “Naturally brands want to exploit the benefits of mobile which a 12% response medium compared to 2-3 % for direct mail and generates spontaneous brand recall at 12 % compared to 6% on radio and 7% on TV. Where they have the technical and creative resources in-house to develop and implement mobile campaigns the iTAGG developer partner programme provides easy access to the necessary infrastructure and billing technology required to bring thes campaigns to life.”

Developers and brands interested in signing up to the iTAGG development partner programme can find more information at www.itagg.com
