MobileActive Signs Content Licensing Agreement With Universal Music Group


SYDNEY, Australia, November 1 -- Company strengthens its position in Australia's rapidly growing mobile phone content market.

MobileActive Limited (ASX:MBA), a global mobile phone content and entertainment provider, today announced the expansion of its music content library signing an Australian licensing agreement with the world's leading music company, Universal Music Group.

Products from a catalogue of over 50,000 tracks, including current top artists such as Powderfinger, Nelly Furtado, Mariah Carey, Pussy Cat Dolls, Black Eyed Peas, Bon Jovi, Sting, and Wolfmother will be available for download on MobileActive's web and WAP sites as real tones, video ringers, graphics and SMS tones. In addition, the agreement with Universal Music Group grants MobileActive access to a huge back catalogue including ABBA, Elton John, Jimi Hendrix, Kiss and Motown.

Universal Music Group is the world's leading music company with wholly-owned record licensees in 63 countries, as well as a multitude of record labels owned or distributed by its record company subsidiaries around the world.

The deal with Universal Music Group is a strategic license agreement with substantial mutual revenue potential.

Frost and Sullivan's Australia Mobile Content Market 2006-2010 report shows total market value will grow at an estimated compound annual growth rate of 22.5% from AU$576 million in 2006 to AU$1.3 billion in 2010.
