AirPlay Teams With NFL, PLAYERS INC and Sprint to Offer NFL Airplay Live


SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 3 -- AirPlay, the company that is merging wireless games and live television, today announced the official launch of its real time interactive professional football game, NFL AirPlay Live, for Sprint (NYSE: S - News) subscribers. This groundbreaking game is also backed by license agreements with the NFL and PLAYERS INC, the marketing and licensing subsidiary of the NFL Players Association.

NFL AirPlay Live is a new nationwide multiplayer competition offered during every NFL game broadcast this season exclusively through Sprint for $3.99 per month*. NFL AirPlay Live allows players to compete against friends, family and the AirPlay TV audience in live "call the play" tournaments during every quarter of NFL action this season.

With NFL AirPlay Live, Sprint PCS Vision®, Power Vision(SM) and Nextel subscribers can call the play before every snap of the ball by using their web-enabled wireless handset to predict run or pass, distance or direction, and even what specific player is going to get the ball on each play. As they watch the action unfold live, players accrue points for correct predictions, chart results and rankings on the AirPlay national leaderboard and even compete live against an NFL player during select nationally broadcast games. Monday the 6th, play against Chester Taylor of the Minnesota Vikings.

NFL AirPlay Live is the first multiplayer sports game to be offered on AirPlay's proprietary service platform. By bringing fans into the action on the field, AirPlayers experience a more immediate and immersive connection with the game itself, while also sharing that experience live with their wireless network communities. The service complements Sprint's exclusive NFL Mobile product that brings NFL fans closer to the game with same day video highlights, customizable team & player alters, fantasy tools & more.

Sprint customers can download NFL AirPlay Live directly from the "Games" section of their web-enabled Sprint PCS Vision, Power Vision or Nextel phones, or text "AirPlay" to 7777 or visit Airplay.com. Once downloaded, consumers can view their own rolling schedule of live AirPlayTV events and play along with family members and friends. AirPlay fully produces the live synchronization between wireless device and live broadcast.
