AdMob Gets Mobbed With Accolades From Advertising and Mobile Industries
(San Mateo, CA) This fall, the wireless and advertising industries have recognized AdMob (http://www.admob.com), the world’s largest mobile advertising marketplace, with top awards and nominations from both trade organizations and peers, making 2006 a year to remember.
In October, readers of MobileVillage.com’s Go Mobile newsletter selected AdMob with two annual Mobile Star Awards™, which recognize top mobile products, success stories, and visionaries. In the category of Enterprise Software for Mobile Marketing, AdMob received a Silver Star for its Marketplace service. Additionally, AdMob’s CEO and founder Omar Hamoui earned a Silver Star in Visionary in the Enterprise Mobile Software category.
AdMob is also among the finalists nominated for the Mobile Marketing Association’s MMA’s, Innovation for Creativity in Technology Award. The MMA Awards program recognizes the innovation, commitment, dedication and successes of the world’s leading companies and individuals in the global mobile marketing industry. The judging was competitive and recognition a significant industry honor this year, with MMA receiving more than 150 entries in 11 categories. The MMA Awards Selection Committee consists of over 40 industry experts and media.
How AdMob Works
AdMob’s Marketplace offers advertisers access to the world’s largest network of mobile Web inventory, a powerful set of targeting tools, and real-time metrics and reporting. AdMob allows advertisers to run ads across a comprehensive set of mobile content channels, including communities, entertainment, news, and portals. With the recent addition of the contextual search channel, AdMob also allows advertisers to build campaigns that include mobile Web searches through Google’s mobile AdWords service.
“The awards and acknowledgement are especially encouraging as they reaffirm this new business model for the mobile advertising industry,” states AdMob Founder and CEO Omar Hamoui.
