Openmind Networks announces successful completion of GSMA Open Connectivity SMS Hubing Trial
Dublin, Ireland, October 19, 2006 – Openmind Networks’ advanced message routing solution, Message-OS Traffic Control, has successfully completed the GSMA’s Open Connectivity SMS hubbing trials. These trials were conducted in order to establish the validity of newly defined hubbing arrangements that can streamline the process of implementing SMS Inter-working agreements between operators. By deploying Message-OS Traffic Control, wholesale operators can provide SMS hubbing solutions to their clients in accordance with GSMA Open Connectivity specifications.
Message-OS Traffic Control has proven capability to act as a hub solution for interconnect SMS and MMS traffic routed between mobile operators via one or more wholesale carriers. The telco grade performance and reliability of Message-OS Traffic Control is further underpinned by product features such as TCAP Negotiation, Multi Protocol Support, Address Transparency, Black Listing, Fraud Prevention and Billing.
In previously deployed commercial solutions, Openmind Networks pre-empted the Open Connectivity project by designing alternatives to bilateral agreements for SMS inter-working. The flexibility of our platform ensures that wholesale operators can continue to maintain previous inter-working solutions in parallel to Open Connectivity compliant interfaces.
"Operators can feel confident in the technology decisions they are making, knowing that Openmind Networks’ Message-OS Traffic Control is a field-proven and market leading solution that can be deployed as a hub to establish and maintain SMS Inter-working agreements” says Alex Duncan, CEO of Openmind Networks. “Our customers will be able to facilitate all scenarios identified in the Open Connectivity project, and additionally support alternative solutions previously designed by wholesale operators and their clients”.
The Message-OS platform has been designed by Openmind Networks to provide a unified management, access and control layer for SMS, MMS and IMS services in a telecom network. Openmind Networks has developed a suite of products that exploit the underlying capabilities of the platform to address key business areas including inter- and intra-operator message routing, spam and privacy protection, personalised service support and adaptation to standard compliant application servers.
