New Mobile Games Development Studio Massively Mobile Announces Its Entry into Wireless Gaming
BROOKLYN, N.Y-- Video game industry veterans formerly of Gameloft and Activision, Inc. have joined forces to launch Massively Mobile, a game development studio committed to delivering ground breaking entertainment for mobile devices. The company has developed a proprietary engine that will allow them to deliver immersive and addictive single and multiplayer gaming experiences, utilizing the unique advantages of the mobile platform to offer players new experiences not possible on other gaming platforms.
"For too long, the mobile platform has been treated as the red-headed stepchild of 'real' gaming,” says founding member and Creative Director, Demetri Detsaridis. “What we’re excited about doing with Massively Mobile is breaking out of this pattern and starting to utilize the full potential of these ubiquitous networked devices. We consider mobile gaming not just an avenue to release miniature versions of console or PC games, but a viable part of a larger gaming ecosystem...one with its own tremendous strengths that differ from those of other platforms, but that can be used to complement them in some amazing ways."
By bringing together the best talents across different disciplines, Massively Mobile is poised to become a leader in the development of innovative new games that bridge the gaming platforms, and link all gaming communities. Massively Mobile’s cross-platform expertise stems from the team’s 20 years of combined industry experience. From wireless to console, Massively Mobile’s core development team has developed and delivered hit games on virtually every gaming platform available, including titles such as Asphalt 3D and Midnight Hold ‘Em Poker (mobile), True Crime: Streets of L.A. (PS2/Xbox), and Teen Titans: Battle Blitz (PC).
