Hands-On Mobile announces New Chief Operating Officer, Keith McCurdy
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – September 21, 2006¯ Hands-On Mobile, a leading global publisher of mobile lifestyle, games and personalization products, today announced the promotion of Keith McCurdy to Chief Operating Officer. Mr. McCurdy was previously President of Studios and Products at Hands-On Mobile and brings more than 20 years of executive management experience in the development and publishing of electronic entertainment products. In his expanded role as COO, Mr. McCurdy will now be responsible for North America carrier sales, marketing and business development initiatives in addition to overseeing the company’s U.S. games and product development.
Prior to joining Hands-On Mobile, Mr. McCurdy was President and CEO of Blaze Entertainment, a venture backed mobile games publisher. Prior to heading up Blaze Entertainment, Mr. McCurdy was a 10-year veteran of Electronic Arts. Mr. McCurdy held a number of positions at Electronic Arts, including Vice President of Product Development, Vice President of World Wide Technology and Vice President of Online, where he was responsible for the creation of Electronic Arts’ Online Division, leading the company's business strategy and product efforts onto the Internet. As Vice President of EA’s worldwide studios, Mr. McCurdy played a key role in product development, M&A efforts, strategic relationships and platform transition strategies.
