Japanese Geolocation Provider Partners with Quova
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIF. – April 11, 2007 – Quova, Inc., the leading worldwide provider of Internet geolocation services, and Cyber Area Research, the leading provider of geolocation services for Japan, today announced a technology alliance to integrate and exchange IP Intelligence information and research team personnel. In addition to the technology integration, Cyber Area Research will enhance its platform of SurfPoint products to include the Quova research focused on internet infrastructure in Japan, and also will be the exclusive reseller of Quova products and services in Japan. Quova will incorporate the Cyber Area Research information into its GeoPoint service to further enhance the accuracy of its geolocation information in Japan.
Quova's GeoPoint service and Cyber Area Research's SurfPoint product match over 1.4 billion IP addresses to their actual geographic locations and network characteristics. This allows our customers to know the physical location of all web site visitors in real time. Companies with an online presence can use this information to detect fraud, target advertising content, manage digital rights, and conduct website analytics. This information is also invaluable in fighting the growing problem of online identity theft.
"Our customers in Japan are demanding more information about their web site visitors," said Keisuke Yamato, CEO of Cyber Area Research. "The integration of our data will enable us to expand our services and provide our customers with a level of information that gives them greater protection, and opens up new business opportunities. Quova's experience and knowledge of the worldwide internet infrastructure will be of great benefit. Cyber Area Research is now well positioned to support new markets, including Banking, E-Commerce, and Internet Broadcasting with the ongoing problems of security, compliance and fraud detection."
"The incorporation of Cyber Area Research's rich Japan geolocation information into our GeoPoint service will give our customers the confidence to make business decisions on traffic from Japan supported by the most comprehensive research available," said Gary Jackson, COO of Quova. The management and staff of Cyber Area Research share our passion for delivering superior products, and have demonstrated a great alignment with our business goals. Their representation of Quova products in Japan adds immediate and powerful presence in this rapidly-growing market."
