X2 Technologies Inks Deal to Supply AirPC(TM) Technology to KDDI Corp.

SAN FRANCISCO -- X2 Technologies Inc., today announced agreements to supply AirPC(TM) technology, the world's first fully hosted computer service, to KDDI Corp., Japan's second largest broadband and mobile phone provider. KDDI expects to introduce the AirPC(TM) service on a limited basis in 2007 with a general introduction planned in 2008.

We are thrilled that KDDI has selected AirPC(TM) technology as one of the extended solutions it will offer over its network," said Joe Lovullo, CEO, X2 Technologies. "AirPC(TM) will enable KDDI to deliver a complete personal computing experience to its customers with as little as a high definition TV, a keyboard, and the KDDI interface."

AirPC(TM) is a replacement for home and business PCs with the functionality of a desktop. Maintained on centralized servers and accessed via the Internet, AirPC(TM) technology is accessible from virtually any broadband location worldwide with access on almost any low-cost terminal or enabled mobile device. AirPC(TM) eliminates local maintenance, users have secure access to their data, and the latest versions of major software applications ensure optimal productivity. In addition, because no data is stored on the local device, theft or illegal access to the device does not compromise security.
