toptable Launches Top Location-based Restaurant Booking Site with Online Mapping Platform Service
Europe’s largest online restaurant and event booking site, toptable (http://www.toptable.co.uk), has revamped its website with a totally new user interface based on fluid mapping technology from deCarta. Users of the site will now be able to view restaurant search results on a map, and simply mouse over each location to see summary details, and click once to view full details of reviews, photos, menus, and special offers before making their reservation. The user can also see other points of interest located on the map including hotels, theatres and bars, and personalise with locations of their own like My office/My house.
toptable’s new mapping user interface is based on deCarta’s Hosted Web Services platform. deCarta’s Hosted Web Services is an online service powered by deCarta’s geospatial software platform, the Drill Down Server®. It gives application developers the ability to develop and deploy location-based applications faster and with more flexibility.
