WirelessDevNet.com Press Release
Mobile Commerce Develops New Time Out Mobile Service
The new service offers mobile users details from the comprehensive Time Out Online guides in an intuitive, user-friendly, package. It is the first time that such extensive local Time Out information has been delivered in a format designed specifically for mobile.
Launching on Vodafone UK, Time Out Mobile is free to the user, and provides detailed information on the best bars, restaurants, clubbing, gigs, theatre and comedy as well as various events around town, together with national cinema listings. Further information, such as the nearest ATMs, taxi services, maps and reviews, is also available to the user.
Free text search allows the user to search for a specific film by entering the film or actor’s name. Venue, event or artist can also be searched for in the same way. Users can also navigate the site by traditional menus, as well as browse the choices of the film critic of the week, and recommended venues and events.
“Having developed and operated the successful Time Out Worldwide City Guides service for mobiles, together with a proven expertise in Mobile Local Search services, Mobile Commerce were the obvious partner for the project” commented David Pepper, Managing Director of Time Out Communications Limited.
“Mobile Commerce is proud to have worked with Time Out to develop this new service,” commented Steve Page, CEO of Mobile Commerce. “Utilities of this nature, where up-to-the-minute information is imperative for the consumer, work wonderfully on mobile. This package really does illustrate the way in which the mobile phone continues to become ever more important in daily life.”
