Innopath Provides Samsung With Mobile Device Management Solution
Sunnyvale, CA — February, 7, 2007 — InnoPath Software, Inc., the industry leader in Integrated Mobile Device Management (iMDM) solutions, announced that it has signed an agreement with Samsung to deploy the InnoPath iMDM solution on Samsung mobile handsets. With InnoPath, mobile phone users have a way to seamlessly and efficiently update handset software and firmware over-the-air.
Demand for feature-rich handsets is on the rise as subscribers seek to leverage new data services, but for handset manufacturers and operators, delivering high-quality data services in a reliable, secure, and customer-friendly manner is no easy task. Each new generation of devices means greater complexity and potential for error, resulting in lost revenue. To offer the best possible subscriber experience, mobile phones must include tightly integrated client software that seamlessly works with a suite of server-side iMDM solutions to keep them updated.
“Samsung is a recognized leader in developing innovative, feature-rich mobile handsets for customers around the world at major operators. We are pleased they chose InnoPath to enable the delivery of update-ready technology for current and future handset devices,” said John Fazio, president and CEO of InnoPath. “Samsung’s decision to work with InnoPath further validates our iMDM solutions as the best on the market.”
InnoPath solutions are standards-compliant, and leading wireless operators and handset manufacturers worldwide have selected InnoPath’s mobile device management technology as their preferred solution. The company’s client has been deployed on over 170 handset models by leading handset manufacturers including Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG, and Sanyo
Only InnoPath offers both carrier and device manufacturer solution suites, which when deployed together, results in an end-to-end lifecycle solution for mobile device management that includes firmware updates, diagnostics, security, and software management. The OMA-DM based client is architected to work seamlessly with third-party servers throughout the world.
InnoPath will demonstrate its iMDM Solution Suites at 3GSM show in Barcelona from 12-15 February, 2007.
