The Tornado(TM) Named Finalist in Yahoo! Tech's 'Last Gadget Standing' Competition at CES

DALLAS, Jan. 2 -- The Tornado(TM), the first truly automated computer file transfer tool, is a finalist in Yahoo! Tech's Last Gadget Standing competition that will be held during this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) January 8-11, 2007 in Las Vegas, NV.

The Last Gadget Standing is sort of a People's Choice meets Survivor. Yahoo! Tech advisors selected finalists that represent some of the best ideas and trends at CES and will ask the audience (both online and in person) to tell them which products they think will really stand the test of time. The 10 products picked represent significant trends - from appliances with web connectivity, to robotics, to phones with next generation features.

"The ten finalists for 'Last Gadget Standing' are all winners in that they represent ideas that will fuel the imagination of the audience about what technology can do," Robin Raskin, the competition's host, said.

The two winners announced after the voting session represent products that people believe will best stand the test of time, and not just disappear once the show is over.

The finalists are given the opportunity to present their products in a live, on-stage competition with the Last Gadget Standing taking home the honors. The competition is scheduled for Wednesday, January 10, 2007, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall, Room N257.

"We are very excited to be included in this year's competition," said Clint Hughes, VP of Marketing and Business Development for Data Drive Thru. "This competition represents the best of the best at CES and we are confident that The Tornado(TM) will make a good showing among the other new innovative products."

The Tornado(TM) will be the main feature of a press conference held at CES on Monday, January 8, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. The press conference will be held in the Venetian Hotel and Casino, Casanova Room, #501/601 in Las Vegas. At this press conference Data Drive Thru will unveil their national infomercial showing a chimpanzee using The Tornado(TM) to network two PCs, the first time in history this has ever been done. Data Drive Thru will also have an exhibit booth (IP 210) on the floor of the CES Conference in the Sands Expo and Convention Center.

Data Drive Thru is the creator of The Tornado(TM), the first automated, self-contained computer file transfer device. Small enough to fit into your pocket, The Tornado(TM) features two retractable USB cables and networks two PCs in a matter of seconds simply by plugging it in to the USB port of each computer. A user-friendly, split screen automatically appears showing the entire contents of each computer and allows for a simple drag and drop action to move files from one PC to another at speeds up to 25 Mb per second. The Tornado(TM) can also be used to quickly back up files to another machine and is compatible with most Microsoft® operating system programs including Microsoft's new Vista operating system. http://www.thetornado.com .
