Top Ten Free Mobile Phone Games for December Press Release
January 11, 2007, Victoria, Canada: MobileRated is pleased to announce its top ten free mobile games, as determined by number of downloads, from the month of December, 2006.
The games are:
1. Jamtris
2. 5ud0ku
3. Bomber
4. Duum
5. Doom 3D
6. Galactic Attack
7. Mobile Cobra Strike
8. Fighters
9. vPoker
10. Age of Dragons
Jamtris retains the top spot fending off a strong challenge from 5ud0ku, a well-rated sudoku game. Meanwhile, last month's number 2, M-SuDoKu, drops just outside the top ten.
New to the list in 4th place is Duum, a classic first person shooter reminiscent of Wolfenstein 3D. Duum edges Doom 3D, another first person shooter by the same developer, MsV. Apparently hard core games do work on mobile phones!
Other new games this month include Galactic Attack, a shoot'em up arcade game and role-playing adventure game, Age of Dragons.
All mobile phone games, also known as java midlets, j2me games, java games, and/or mobile games, are presented totally free to customers. Each game is legally free - MobileRated licenses and hosts phone games from 3rd party developers who wish their mobile games to be presented freely to customers. Demos, trials, limited time free subscriptions, and ad-supported games are acceptable and may be found along side open source, GNU copyrighted, and totally free mobile games (each type is clearly identified).
