T-Mobile Partners with MoMac to Provide Mobile Magazines on t-zones

London – 30 Jan 2007 – MoMac, the leading mobile media publisher, announced today that T-Mobile has chosen MoMac’s ASP mobile publishing platform, Gomedia, to host a range of consumer lifestyle magazines on the t-zones mobile portal. MoMac is providing a fully hosted and managed service for T-Mobile, with the service being offered to all T-Mobile’s t-zone subscribers.

MoMac’s portal provides T-Mobile with a continuously updated, fresh service with the magazines managing and uploading their own content. The magazines included at the launch are Vogue, FHM, Glamour, GQ, Heat, NME and Nuts and content will include a mixture of editorial, competitions, user generated content, wallpapers, ringtones and videos.

By entering this agreement with MoMac, T-Mobile is demonstrating mobile operators’ desire to have premium branded content as part of their on-portal strategy. T-Mobile will add additional magazines to the service over the coming months.

“More and more of our subscribers want to use their mobiles to read their favourite magazines,” commented Lenka Horakova, Content Manager at T-Mobile. “Through our partnership with MoMac we can now offer a whole suite of magazines for our subscribers.”

Horakova continued, “We were searching for a partner for this service and MoMac’s experience made them the ideal candidate. MoMac offers us a reliable system that allows our users to access these sites easily, at the same time allowing our content partners to regularly update the information. MoMac’s solution also optimises the content for individual mobile handsets, so all our users can benefit from the magazines on offer.”

Sham Careem, Managing Director at MoMac said, “We are delighted with T-Mobile’s decision to select our Gomedia publishing platform. Our expertise in mobile publishing means that we can not only give our clients a robust and reliable system, we also have a strong understanding of what makes a mobile site successful.”

Infotainment is a growing area for mobile operators, with branded content a key element of that. Consumers are using their mobile devices as total entertainment device and operators must offer the services that their subscribers demand.

MoMac works with publishers such as Emap, Condé Nast, Dennis and IPC to build and maintain subscription based mobile magazines and download sites. MoMac provides services for all the major UK operators including T-Mobile, 3, O2, Orange and Vodafone.
