Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives $2.8 Million of Movement Tracking System Orders
MELVILLE, N.Y.-- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) announced today that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, received orders totaling $2.8 million under its Movement Tracking System, or MTS contract, with the U.S. Army. Total orders received to date against the $418.2 million MTS contract increased to $398.7 million.
The orders are for the supply of various products and services including Comtech's MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers, ruggedized and control station computers, technical support services and miscellaneous system components for MTS, Army National Guard and Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2). Comtech's Model MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers feature embedded Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, including Savi Technology's ISO-compliant EchoPoint RFID Reader, as well as secure Global Positioning System (GPS) capabilities.
