Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2007

DENVER - July 10, 2007 - At the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2007, , ThinPrint (Booth 1055) today unveiled a new plug-and-play solution for small- and mid-sized U.S. businesses to connect remote offices without using a separate server.

Featuring preinstalled Microsoft ISA Server 2006 (Internet Security and Acceleration Server), ThinPrint Branch Office Box ISA hardware securely links remote offices while optimizing wide area networks (WANs). Featuring a built-in firewall, VPN gateway and web filter, the device’s integrated ThinPrint .print technology also lets the box function as a print server, while enabling central management of the printers in the branch office.

ThinPrint’s print technology equips the device with additional industry-unique capabilities including bandwidth control, driver-free printing, and adaptive compression of print data to down to one percent of its original size. To ensure forward compatibility with small- and mid-sized network systems, ThinPrint has already begun incorporating “Certified for Windows Server 2008” logo test requirements into its print technology.

The combined features provide smaller organizations with the security of Microsoft ISA Server 2006, optimized WAN print management, and efficiencies of scale that come from deploying a robust, integrated off-the-shelf solution.

“ThinPrint Branch Office Box is now the small- and mid-sized business community’s most affordable, secure and easily deployed full-function device linking remote offices,” said Charlotte Künzell, General Manager at ThinPrint GmbH. “We pride ourselves on staying at the forefront of Microsoft technologies in ways that help smaller organizations integrate our solutions with confidence in the ROI they will achieve without sacrificing security or stability.”

“Microsoft is proud to see partners like ThinPrint innovating on our core technologies to advance the possibilities for our mutual customers,” said Joseph Landes, windows server marketing director. “We are especially pleased that ThinPrint sees the value of meeting the Certified for Windows server 2008 technical bar and the market opportunities providing targeted solutions for small to mid-sized companies with our Cougar and Centro editions.”

When deployed both in the branch office and at the data center, the ThinPrint Branch Office Box devices can synchronize printer objects, streamlining remote office administration. The robust, compact, and fanless design of the ThinPrint Branch Office Box makes it suitable for use in industrial environments as well as at the office desk.

The ThinPrint Branch Office Box is available from more than 500 authorized ThinPrint partners in over 80 countries. List price is 3490,- USD plus tax.
