Bluetooth SIG Continuing Market Research Relationship with IMS
Wellingborough, UK (11 June 2007) – The Bluetooth SIG has signed a two-year contact with IMS Research to continue to offer IMS’ Worldwide Annual Bluetooth Report free to Promoter and Associate members of the Bluetooth SIG. Adopter members can receive the report at a 25% discount.
Bluetooth, already the most successful short range wireless technology to date, continues to thrive; core Bluetooth ICs (version 1.1 through to 2.0+EDR) continue to dominate the short range wireless landscape, however, it is future generations of Bluetooth that are likely to help drive the technology towards the “2 billion by 2010” milestone target. With high speed Bluetooth on the horizon and low power Bluetooth in the pipeline, the industry is looking to widen the Bluetooth portfolio and move forward into a variety of new devices.
