mBlox Executive Chairman is Re-elected as Global Vice Chair of the Mobile Entertainment Forum


London, UK, 15 June – mBlox, the world’s largest mobile transaction network, today announced that its executive chairman and co-founder Andrew Bud has been re-elected to the global board of the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF), the leading global trade association for companies across the mobile entertainment value chain, and has been re-elected as its Vice Chair.

This is Bud’s third re-election to the 10-member MEF global board and he is the only member who has been on the board continuously since the organisation was founded in 2001. He played an important role in establishing the Forum’s global structure which includes US, European and Asian boards.

The Mobile Entertainment Forum represents 150 of the largest companies in the entertainment industry worldwide, and has been active throughout the world in addressing barriers to growth in mobile entertainment. Current initiatives include participation TV, quality of customer experience, mobile search and ad-funded entertainment.

The high-profile role that Bud plays as vice-chairman of the MEF is part of mBlox’s commitment to ensure the ongoing growth and development of the global mobile entertainment industry. Complementing his involvement in the MEF, Bud is also known as a vigorous advocate for the development of innovative business models for the mobile internet, including the need to create mobile data charging strategies which ensure mobile entertainment can be accessed by audiences in the most simple, transparent and cost-effective way.
