NAVTEQ to Name Winners of the Global LBS Challenge® – The Americas at CTIA Wireless 2007
Orlando, Florida – NAVTEQ (NYSE: NVT), a leading global provider of digital map data for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions, will host the Global LBS Challenge Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, March 28, where three Category winners and one Grand Prize winner for the Americas will be named.
WHAT: The Awards Ceremony will showcase 16 semifinalist applications, explore the current trends and future of location-based solutions in the wireless industry, and reward the winning applications with an unprecedented pool of cash and prizes.

WHY: The NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge is a program that encourages application developers around the world to build innovative location-based services (LBS). Semifinalist companies participated in a final judging round earlier this week, where each application was evaluated by a panel of industry leaders based on its commercial viability, functionality and ease of use.
The challenge was first launched in 2003 to drive growth in the LBS industry by bringing together the key players in the wireless value chain. From wireless business applications to sports, travel and security, integrating the accuracy and richness of NAVTEQ® digital map data facilitates the timely evolution of the next wave of LBS using wireless position technology.
