Focus Enhancements Spotlights Ultra Wideband Wireless and TV-out Encoder Products at WinHEC 2007

CAMPBELL, CA -- May 15, 2007 -- Focus Enhancements, Inc. (NASDAQ: FCSE), a worldwide leader in Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless technology, video conversion and digital media, will participate with Microsoft Corp. and other industry leaders at WinHEC 2007 in Los Angeles, May 14-16. Focus Enhancements will be in booth #106 in the Certified Wireless USB Implementer's Forum (USB-IF) Community.

Focus Enhancements will be showcasing both its UWB wireless technology and its video convergence TV-out encoder product family. Focus Enhancements is a proud member of both WiMedia and USB-IF and is engineering UWB products based on WiMedia and Certified Wireless USB specifications. The company will also be featuring its TV encoder chips used for integrating TV-out functionality for Windows CE-based mobile and media appliances.

"In today's world, on-demand media is expected by consumers of both personal computer and consumer electronics products," said Tom Hamilton, executive vice president and general manager for the Focus Enhancements' Semiconductor Group. "We share the same vision for digital media with Microsoft, as it participates in defining the future of computing and digital media platforms, and we are focused on serving that market."

"Microsoft is pleased that Focus Enhancements is participating in WinHEC this year," said Dave Wascha, director of Windows Client Product Management at Microsoft Corp. "It is technology advancements from companies like Focus Enhancements that help pave the way for innovation on the Windows platform and in the industry."

The company's UWB wireless technology is based on Certified Wireless USB specifications -- which is supported by Windows Vista -- and its latest FS471 TV encoder includes full support for Windows Embedded platforms (Windows CE and Windows XP Embedded).

UWB Technology
Focus Enhancements' elegant System-in-Package UWB wireless design makes it ideal for cost effective and compact designs targeting wireless USB products. The extended frequency range for international applications spans the first eight WiMedia bands -- from 3.2 to 7.4 GHz (the FCC restricts usage of WiMedia UWB in the U.S. from 5.03 to 5.65 Gigahertz). This integrated package contains the media access control (MAC)/digital baseband processor (DBP) chip and analog front-end RF transceiver chip. Products which will be targeted include wireless USB dongles and hubs, as well as devices featuring integrated wireless USB, such as printers, external/remote disk drives, camcorders and digital cameras.

Video Convergence Product Family
Since 1996, Focus Enhancements has been designing and producing convergence semiconductor products for demanding video applications. Its video convergence products are used in digital media appliances such as Set-top Boxes to create studio quality standard definition (SDTV) and high definition (HDTV) TV video for all of the most widely used worldwide TV formats.

Focus will be featuring the FS455/6 small footprint video encoder and the new FS471/2 ultra small and battery friendly TV encoder, specifically designed for mobile applications such as mobile media devices. Other applications range from self contained studio quality scan converters to much more compact TV-out chips for consumer electronics and portable electronics devices, including: PCs, gaming consoles, television sets, PVR/DVRs, IP-STBs, DVD recorders, personal digital assistants (PDAs), automotive entertainment systems, as well as scan converters for industrial applications. The FS series, PC-to-TV co-processors are among the most advanced video co-processors ever developed.
