SYWARE®, Inc. ReleasesVisual CE with Support for Windows Mobile Devices Without Touchscreens

CAMBRIDGE, MA, U.S.A. - May 23, 2007 - SYWARE, Inc., a leading developer of mobile database development tools for business and personal productivity, today announced a release of Visual CE that supports Windows Mobile devices without touchscreens, such as the Motorola Q and Samsung BlackJack. The powerful, inexpensive, award winning database development software makes it easy to build applications for all types of Windows Mobile devices: Pocket PC, Pocket PC Phone Edition and now, Smartphone.

Since it was first introduced in 1996, Visual CE, with its drag-and-drop desktop development environment, has enabled both business professionals and developers to easily create feature-rich data-centric applications for Windows Mobile touchscreen devices with little or no programming. There are well over 100,000 Visual CE-built applications in use and Visual CE has won Smartphone and Pocket PC magazine's "Best Database Software" award the last three years in a row.

With this release, the power, speed, and flexibility of Visual CE can be used to create applications for all Windows Mobile devices, even if they do not have a touchscreen. Developers can create a single application that, with only minor modifications, can run on all Windows Mobile devices, including the Motorola Q, the Samsung Blackjack, the HP I-Mate, the Dopod StrTrk S300, and the HTC MteoR, Smartphones promoted by Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, Cingular, Rogers, AT&T, O2, Vodafone, Orange, Nokia, and others.
