WirelessDevNet.com Press Release

Focus Enhancements Announces Availability of new Module for Wireless UWB Applications

Focus Enhancements Inc (NASDAQ: FCSE), a worldwide leader in Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless technology, video conversion and digital media, announced that its second generation UWB technology is now available in a compact and economical System-in-Package (SiP) form factor. The company has begun shipping samples to customers for use in product development.

"Our customers are starting to implement product designs with our high-performance UWB chips," said Brett Moyer, Focus Enhancements' president and chief executive officer. "We anticipate material contribution to revenue from UWB chipsets in 2008 as a result of shipping these samples. This is a significant step on our path to growing revenue and achieving profitability. As more customers incorporate our technology into their products, we expect robust revenue contribution from UWB product in 2008 and beyond."

Based on the WiMedia and ECMA-368/ECMA-369 international standards, as well as the Certified Wireless USB specification from the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), the module (TT•1013) combines the company's analog front-end radio frequency (RF) transceiver chip with its newest version of the digital baseband processor (DBP)/media access controller (MAC) chip. Target customers include major personal computer (PC) peripheral manufacturers and consumer electronic (CE) companies. Engineering samples are available for immediate delivery.
