WirelessDevNet.com Press Release
Applists.com to Bring Better Quality Apps to iPhone by Uniting Owners and Developers
HANOVER, Pa., Oct. 9 -- Just days after releasing their Applists.com version 2.0 upgrade, Elias Corporation makes a call for better quality apps for the iPhone’s Safari platform.
“First, we needed to build the infrastructure to help iPhone owners find, access and share their apps more easily,” says Elias Corporation CEO Bill Denk. “We accomplished this with our release of Applists.com version 2.0. Now, we’re ready to help raise the quality of the apps.”
To do this, Applists.com brings developers and iPhone owners together through the following approaches.
They will give iPhone Owners a voice by:
Suggesting ideas for apps they’d like to see and use with their
iPhone
Submitting apps they’ve found to Applists.com for activation
They will give iPhone Developers the data necessary to build better
apps by:
Viewing iPhone owners’ requests to build the apps iPhone owners
want
Viewing statistics about their registered app’s performance and
use
Providing certification to assist developers and advise iPhone
owners which apps have been built to iPhone standards
“Registration is free for both developers and iPhone owners in the USA, UK and Germany, who visit our desktop site, at Applists.com, today,” said Denk. “We believe this will help UK and German developers know in advance what types of apps future iPhone owners in their country might expect when they activate their iPhone on November 9.”
Apps for the UK and Germany will be unveiled on November 9
“We realized from the development and design of the Applists UI, that a superior mobile interface could be built using the Safari/Web 2.0/AJAX platform for the iPhone,” says Mike Judd, Senior Developer for Elias Corporation. “Our goal has always been excellence, and we’re calling upon developers to show just how good they are by continuing to raise the bar of the mobile user experience for iPhone owners around the world. We truly believe that by doing so, they will set the standard for all future mobile device application development.”
