New Wap Sites Offer Extreme Content
London, 17 September, 2007 – Thematic broadcaster Zonemedia has further enhanced its digital media offering with the launch of new WAP sites for its Extreme Sports Channel and Zone Reality channel.
“The new WAP sites are a natural extension of the channels. High-octane dare-devilry is ideally suited to short-burst mobile viewing,” says Tanya Gugenheim, Chief Business Development and New Media Officer at Zonemedia.
“WAP sites give our viewers additional choice over what, when and how they watch our programming. They also create exciting new opportunities to connect our clients with their target audiences across multiple platforms, which is the focus of our new media division, Zone 360.”
Extreme Sports Channel’s WAP site will offer an array of action-packed clips from popular shows Kelly Slater Invitational, Streetball: Extreme Battle for Europe, Drop In New Zealand, Road Fools and Genex.
The entertaining offering from Zone Reality’s WAP site includes lad’s mag favourites Ballz Girls; the ‘alternative Olympics’ of America’s deep south, Redneck Games; and the slapstick stupidity of Totally Out of Control and Moronic 21st Century Idiots.
In addition, wallpapers and screensavers will be available for mobile upload from each site.
The new sites build on the success of the company’s Zone Horror WAP site, launched last year.
To access the Zone Reality WAP site, customers should text the word REALITY to 63456 to receive a link straight to the content; for the Extreme Sports Channel WAP site, text EXTREME to 63456; and for the Zone Horror WAP site, text HORROR to 63456 or visit the mobile web shop at www.zonemobile.tv.
