Alltel Wireless gets in the Game with Axcess Game League
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Think you can out-maneuver an opponent in chess? Are you quick with your numbers in Sudoku? Are you ready to show the world that you are a master at dominoes or checkers? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you are ready to join the big leagues of wireless casual gaming – Axcess Game League from Alltel Wireless.
Alltel, America’s largest network with coverage across the nation, today launched Axcess Game League, a free, community gaming application that enables players to seamlessly navigate between games, compete in a variety of tournaments, check their status and post high scores.
Games available at launch include dominoes, Sudoku, checkers, reversi and chess. Additional games will be added in the near future. The Axcess Game League application is free to download, and players can choose the games they want for $2.49 each per month.
Alltel customers interested in competing can take full advantage of Axcess Game League’s tournament feature. Tournaments are offered as weekly, monthly and all-time high score competitions. Monthly tournaments begin each week, and the top 60 percent of competitors advance to the second week of competition. The top players will also receive virtual medals and trophies according to their rankings

In addition to Axcess Game League, Alltel customers on qualifying calling plans can also receive “My Circle,” Alltel’s exclusive feature which allows customers to choose who they call for free – any 10 numbers, any network. Alltel Wireless also offers Anytime Plan Changes, which gives customers the flexibility to change their calling plans at any time, without extending their current contract; and Celltop, Alltel’s patent-pending technology which offers customers an easier way to access, manage and organize a wide range of information already available on their phones
