Scalado Partners With Leading Japanese Tech Firm Macnica
Scalado, the leader in mobile imaging software solutions, has today announced that it has appointed Macnica Networks Corp. as its sole agent and local representative in Japan, to help the company gain a stronger foothold in the Japanese market. Macnica, established in Japan in 1972, is a renowned software and technology company that has excellent links and established relationships within the Japanese wireless and digital image industries. These links have already proved to be fruitful with Macnica assisting Scalado in its first business agreement in Japan with Sony Ericsson, as well as a number of technology evaluations by other Macnica clients.
The partnership with Macnica follows Scalado's recent move into the Asia Pacific region; in May 2007, the Swedish company opened an office in South Korea to provide both technical and personnel support to its growing portfolio of handset manufactures in the region. In addition to the Sony Ericsson Tokyo unit that serves both Japan and the global market, Scalado initially plans to establish technical resources, in order to support Macnica and other customer projects in Japan.

This relationship provides the perfect fit for Scalado, as Macnica has the right connections in both the telecom and imaging businesses in Japan," said Per Kjellberg, the Vice-President of Sales for APAC region at Scalado. "Macnica has a wealth of experience working with other international companies, and has already introduced us to a number of new customers. We have put our faith into Macnica and have invested in a number of resources in order to help them to continue to deliver these excellent results."

"Scalado and Macnica have agreed to make a distributor agreement and the partnership with Scalado will be very complementary to our current offerings. It will also provide a unique added value service to our clients both in the wireless industry as well as in the digital imaging industry."
