Symbian Welcomes the US HSDPA Variant of the Nokia N95 8GB
San Francisco, USA – January 09, 2008 – Symbian, Inc. today welcomes the launch of the new North American optimized Nokia N95 8GB multimedia computer based on S60 3rd Edition and Symbian OS™ v9.2.
This new Nokia N95 8GB offers North American 3G/HSDPA/UMTS compatibility while retaining all the popular functionality of the existing Nokia N95 8GB. The phone features a 2.8 inch QVGA screen with support for up to 16 million colors, eight gigabytes of built-in memory, A-GPS positioning for improved location access and a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics.
The N95 8GB multimedia computer has an estimated retail price of $749 and will start shipping to Nokia Nseries retailers across the United States, the Nokia flagship stores in New York and Chicago as well as online e-tailers during the first quarter of 2008.
