Masternaut Three X Staff Demonstrate Safer, Greener Driving

Leeds, UK - June 24, 2008 - Vehicle tracking and mobile solutions company Masternaut Three X has aligned itself firmly with the greener, safer motoring movement. Each member of the company’s sales and customer service team has volunteered to have their driving performance, fuel consumption and emissions monitored by GreenerFleet, the innovative solution for reducing carbon emissions that has been developed by Masternaut Three X.

The individual performances are entered into a monthly competition and the winner is chosen based on who attains the lowest environmental impact score. A host of criteria are monitored including mileage, idling time, CO2 emissions, fuel usage, speeding and running costs. Not only is the competition highlighting the environmental impact of the drivers, it is also encouraging much safer driving by flagging up the speeders among the staff.

“We believe that we must practice what we preach about safer, fuel efficient driving measures and so the staff jumped at the opportunity to see how they performed behind the wheel,” said Martin Port, Managing Director, Masternaut Three X.

“We also noticed that not only has it encouraged more economical and thoughtful driving, the competition has improved, and continues to improve, driver safety. We are seeing fewer incidents of speeding, which reduces the risk of accidents, and because we are tracking in real-time we know exactly where everyone is, which is important as many of our staff are on the road for much of their working time,” explained Port.
