WirelessDevNet.com Press Release
MoMac Wins Contract to Mobilise Hotels 4U
Hotels4U, recently acquired by travel giants, Thomas Cook, has engaged MoMac to develop, build, manage and host the Hotels4U mobile ineternet site which will be available in the off-portal environment and made available on-portal via MoMac’s comprehensive UK operator network.
The site will mirror the ‘special offers’ section of the Hotles4U web site, enabling consumers to browse four rich media categories of live travel offers: beach, all inclusive, luxury and city breaks and inviting them to either ‘click to call’ a Hotels4U agent or go online at Hotels4U.com to explore further.
In addition, the site will use specially created downloadable mobile video clips to showcase individual destinations and include the option to purchase holidays via a specially created mobile booking engine.
The site will be optimised for mobile search engines both on and off-portal, maximising the visibility of the service.
Steven Moore, head of e-commerce at Hotels4U said: “MoMac is best-of-breed when it comes to any aspect of content delivery and will help us to extend the Hotles4U brand in to the mobile space. In particular, the GoMedia platform instantly renders our content perfectly for any mobile handset so that we are confident that the brand experience is consistent with our website and ultimately our brand values.”
Mark Jolley, consultant, MoMac UK, said: “Mobile users are becoming increasingly savvy as to what is available to them via the mobile internet. Moreover, it is the ideal platform for allowing consumers to browse and interact spontaneously with their favourite brands and services.”
“The partnership with Hotels4U for us marks a step in to a market that is highly suitable for the mobile channel. What is more this deal is a clear demonstration of how mobile services, network speeds and handsets are maturing to support new and innovative services such as this one from Hotels4U.”
