GoHello Wins 2008 VON Innovator Award
London - March 19, 2008 - Last night Speakanet were awarded a VON Innovation Award for its GoHello˘â solution, a revolutionary all-mobile service for businesses. GoHello won in the hosted solutions category for its ability to handle all company calls using employees mobile handsets, thereby making the office desk phone system redundant. The results of the awards are published in the March/April issue of VON magazine and winning companies.
Up until recently mobility was designed as an extension to the office desk phones and hardware system; with punitive call termination charges it was also perceived as too expensive to handle all office calls using mobiles. Yet, and despite the high costs, mobiles have rapidly grown into individuals main and preferred choice of communication. Speakanet identified the trend early and invented GoHello to address this, allowing businesses to make traditional telephony systems (analogue and VoIP) obsolete, remove the high costs of mobility and give employees just one phone their mobile. VON judges were impressed with the ease of use as well as the fast set-up of GoHello, and liked the fact that it allows employees to be "at their desk" regardless of location.
