WirelessDevNet.com Press Release
Tiny Pictures' Radar Now Available on Rogers Wireless Mobile Portal
San Francisco, CA - Tiny Pictures, Inc. today announced that Radar (http://radar.net), the leading service for real-time sharing of cameraphone pictures, videos and conversations between friends, is now available in the "Friends" section of the Rogers Wireless portal. The Radar service is free, but normal data and messaging charges apply, either on a
pay-per-use basis or as part of a data plan subscription, depending on a customers' contract.
Pictures and videos shared on Radar are immediately viewable on any
web-enabled mobile phone on any network, through the desktop site or Radar for Facebook application. Using pictures and videos shared from their mobile phones, Radar lets users share what they're doing while they're doing it. These experiences shared in the moment generate an ongoing group conversation between friends.
"Radar continues to experience rapid growth in the Canadian market," said John Poisson, founder and CEO of Tiny Pictures. "Rogers Wireless will help us accelerate our expansion in Canada, and deliver the best possible Radar experience to Rogers Wireless customers."
Winner of the 2008 People's Voice Webby Award for best mobile social network, the Radar service has well over a million subscribers in more than 100 countries and serves 2 million pictures daily. The company recently announced several product updates including the introduction of user profiles and integration with Twitter.
