TeleNav Wins Best of Mobile Internet World Innovation 2008 Award


Boston, MA and Sunnyvale, CA - xchange magazine announced Tuesday that TeleNav has been selected to receive the Mobile Internet WorldInnovation 2008 Award for TeleNav GPS Navigator(TM) inthe Most Innovative Consumer Mobile Internet Application category. TeleNavGPS Navigator was also recognized as the runner-up for the Most InnovativeConsumer Mobile Internet Deployment. Additionally, TeleNav's TeleNav Track(TM) service wasawarded runner-up status for the Most Innovative Enterprise Mobile InternetDeployment because of its implementation with the City of New York. Theannual awards recognize leaders in the development and deployment of mobileInternet technology. Nominations were open to all providers and vendors ofmobile Internet technology and selected by a judging panel of experts fromthe mobile Internet industry.

TeleNav received the awards on Oct. 21 at a ceremony following the close ofthe Mobile Internet World expo floor. Eliot Weinman, president of YankeeGroup, along with Tara Seals, associate editor of xchange, presented awardsto TeleNav and recipients in three other categories. TeleNav and its awardswill be featured in the January issue of xchange, as well as on the Websites of both Mobile Internet World, www.mobilenetx.com, and xchange,www.xchangemag.com/mobileinternet2008.
