Andrew Seybold Announces 19th Annual Wireless Dinner
Santa Barbara, CA - The 19th Annual Andrew Seybold Wireless Dinner, the independent networking and recognition event held annually in conjunction with the CTIA spring trade show, will take place in Las Vegas on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, it was announced today by Andrew M. Seybold, originator and producer of the event and CEO of Andrew Seybold, Inc. The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Andrew Seybold Choice Awards.
The dinner will be held in the Murano Ballroom of The Venetian Hotel, with registration and cocktails at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:00 and The Andrew Seybold Choice Awards presentation. An estimated 300 invited guests representing more than 100 companies from five continents are expected to attend.
Sponsorships
A number of past dinner sponsors have become part of the tradition and have already committed to this year’s event, Seybold said, but sponsorships are still available both at Tier One and Tier Two levels. Sponsoring companies are allocated a number of invitations and individuals wishing to attend the 19th Annual Andrew Seybold Wireless Dinner can obtain invitations by contacting a sponsor. Themes and Entertainment
According to Andrew Seybold, this year’s theme – Ingenuity•Initiative•Influence – reflects an overview of the profound impact the wireless industry has had as it proceeded from hesitant, tentative beginnings to its current international status as an indispensable communications vehicle for consumers and business users.
“We are still a relatively young industry and there are many guests of our first small Wireless Dinner 19 years ago who remain active contributors to the field,” Seybold said. “These were some of the people with the ingenuity to set it in motion. Others came on board and applied their own initiative to the new technologies and through collective effort and invention, the industry is now a major influence throughout the world.”
Augmenting the serious side of the evening, he said, will be a “mocu-mentary,” an entertainment program especially crafted for the event that takes a lighthearted look at industry progress, achievements, pitfalls and awkward moments.
“We take ourselves seriously” Seybold said, “but not THAT seriously.”
