Parents Turning to GPS Tracking Software as Tool for Tracking Teen Drivers and Children

Burlingame, CA - Good parents have long known that it’s best to check in on teenage drivers from time to time, but only recently have parents turned to GPS tracking software as a high-tech solution for keep tabs on their kids.

TrackingTheWorld, Inc., a leading developer of GPS tracking software reports that GPS tracking systems are increasingly sought by parents interested in knowing the whereabouts of their children for the purpose of assuring their safety. “The broad availability of GPS tracking software, computers and Internet, have made GPS technology a convenient option for busy parents,” said Gilbert Walz, CEO of TrackingTheWorld.

In addition to on-demand reporting of teen driver’s location, GPS tracking software can provide valuable insight into a teen’s driving patterns. “Our GPS tracking software reports information such as driving speed, routes of travel, and locations visited. It provides a way to discuss and encourage safe driving” said Walz. Parental concerns are backed up by government statistics, which cite the leading cause of death for children ages 13-18 as traffic accidents.

GPS tracking software works with GPS tracking systems which communicate with space satellites to report detailed location and movement information. GPS tracking systems can be installed in vehicles, or carried on the person. “Continued advancements in technology have resulted in very compact GPS tracking devices which are about the size of a small cell phone,” said Walz.

In addition to tracking teenage drivers, GPS tracking software and systems are an increasingly popular choice for child safety. Similar to use with a vehicle, parents attach compact GPS tracking devices to their child’s backpack or clothing, and view location information with the use of GPS tracking software using a computer with an Internet connection.

TrackingTheWorld offers several GPS tracking systems ideal for tracking small children and teenage drivers, including the WorldTracker GPRS, recently named the best GPS tracking system for children by GPS Magazine.
