Upcoming App For The iPhone™ Gives Truckers Incentive To Go Digital

Dallas, TX - February 1, 2010 - Applicandy, a startup mobile software development firm, has announced the future release of their debut application, iLogMiles, which will provide over-the-road truckers with valuable resources when making critical business decisions. Expected to be available on the iPhone App StoreSM in early March, iLogMiles enables truck drivers to quickly generate and display daily log records, and analyze other important historical data from the phone.

“To know exactly how much you are making is absolutely critical for any trucking business,” says co-founder Zach Womack, “With relative and accurate information in their pocket, smart business owners will be empowered when it comes down to negotiation time. iLogMiles provides them with useful analytics tools, coupled with a fun and easy to use interface.”

Smart phones have increasingly become popular among U.S. truck drivers because of the versatility and relatively low cost. Users can access the internet, map locations, email clients, and download an arsenal of applications with a single device. According to information technology research firm Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT), the number of smart phone application downloads is expected to dramatically increase over the next few years.

Applicandy co-founder Bryan Hinton agrees, “As the use of mobile applications increases and the devices they operate on become more powerful, we are going to see businesses invest less in expensive, hardware-based systems when the same tasks, and more, can be accomplished with the phone.”
