Human Monitoring Launches hipix™
Human Monitoring Ltd. the developer of hipix™, a still image compression technology, today announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Innoace, a leading Korean mobile solution provider. Using hipix™, Innoace will develop mobile applications which will enable 8 Mega Pixel MMS images to be delivered across mobile networks using less than 300KB of data.
Human Monitoring’s hipix™ patent pending technology utilizes the existing h.264 video CoDec to achieve twice to five times more effective still image compression compared to JPEG images on mobile handsets.
In addition, Innoace will also distribute Human Monitoring’s other innovative image technologies: Leonardo™ is a premium digital video stabilizer with configurable latency which is capable of dealing with the most shaky video types, including "Walk and Shoot" sequences. The patent pending technology stabilizes in real-time and can be integrated into video encoders – without the need for hardware modifications; Fresco™ is real-time Panoramic Stitching solution, which generates wide-angle still pictures from live video streams.
