Brightpoint Announces Exclusive Distribution Agreement With HTC
Indianapolis, IN - May 6, 2010 - Brightpoint, Inc. announced today that its subsidiary Brightpoint Portugal ("Brightpoint") signed an exclusive distributor agreement with HTC Corporation ("HTC"), a global manufacturer of intelligent devices. Pursuant to this agreement, Brightpoint will supply wireless solutions and added value services to develop the distribution of HTC products in Portugal.
The agreement, effective from May 1, positions Brightpoint as the exclusive distributor in Portugal of the HTC portfolio, which includes such devices as the HTC Hero, the HTC HD2, the latest HTC Desire, HTC Legend and HTC HD Mini, all capable of meeting users' needs in mobile internet, social networking, and a wide variety of applications for work and leisure.
"This strategic alliance with Brightpoint represents a breakthrough to meet the growing demand that our brand is having on the Portuguese market," said Pedro Abad, HTC Country Manager for Spain and Portugal. "Brightpoint's experience will accelerate the availability of HTC phones to Portuguese customers."
