Deltek Announces Mobile Time for Government Contractors

Deltek, Inc. leading provider of enterprise applications software and solutions for project-focused businesses, today announced Deltek Mobile Time, the BlackBerry-enabled application that works directly with Deltek Time Collection. Deltek Mobile Time, demonstrated exclusively at Deltek's Insight 2010 user conference, will ensure accurate, up-to-date time cards by empowering mobile professionals to view, record, update, submit and approve their labor activity from their smart phone anytime, anywhere.

Busy mobile professionals are constantly challenged to submit accurate, timely labor activity while on the road, and delays in time card processing often lead to time card errors. Time card errors can imperil project compliance requirements and lead to lost revenue. Deltek Mobile Time makes time card entry as seamless and as easy as performing this activity from the home office, delivering numerous benefits for government contractors. By ensuring the accurate, timely recording of labor activities, government contractors will:

  • Tighten DCAA compliance because time cards are accurate and up to date
  • Improve employee and manager productivity because time entry activities are done in real-time from the road, not later on in the office
  • Lower Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) due to more timely project billing
  • Decrease payroll and billing costs due to reduced time card reprocessing

"With the release of Mobile Time, Deltek is again demonstrating that it is focused on driving innovation for government contractors," said Harvey Beliveau, Senior DBA from VSE Corporation -- an early adopter of Deltek Mobile Time. "Mobile Time contains all the functionality a mobile professional needs to stay up-to-date on their time collection reporting."

"Mobile Time is a milestone release for Deltek," said Jim Rogers, Deltek Vice President of Product Marketing for Government Contracting. "In the increasingly mobile workforce, using technology to stay connected is critical for government contractors that are managing complex projects for their government customer. Deltek Mobile Time offers a new way to enter time sheets from anywhere at anytime, enabling mobile professionals to update time sheets as seamlessly as if they were working from their corporate offices. The solution helps government contractors minimize time sheet errors and ensures that invoices are sent out on time."

Mobile Time is scheduled to be released in June 2010.
