SIIA Announces Keynote Speakers for Mobile Software Conference
WASHINGTON, D.C -The Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, today announced the lineup of keynote and other speakers scheduled to appear at All About Mobile, the ISV conference for mobile business. All About Mobile takes place November 16-17, 2010 at the Dolce Hayes Mansion in San Jose, California.
“All About Mobile was organized to meet the growing demand in the software industry for guidance and leadership in the transition of on-premise and on-demand applications to the mobile device market,” noted Rhianna Collier, Director of the SIIA Software Division. “Our members have indentified this transition as a critical turning point for the industry, and we’re bringing together leaders in the mobile carrier and applications industries to help shape plans for the future.”
Keynote speakers for the event are:
Matt Thompson, General Manager, Developer & Platform Evangelism, is based in Silicon Valley. He and his team look after the "care and feeding" for the communities of developers, startups and IT Pros across the western US. Matt's passion centers around helping companies (of all sizes) succeed in applying technologies that can help solve for scale, robustness, and ease of development.
Wayne Ward is Vice President of Emerging Solutions for Sprint Nextel. Ward was named to lead the company’s newly formed Emerging Solutions unit in October 2009, with responsibility for developing M2M (machine-to-machine) and mobile computing solutions. The Emerging Solutions unit combines the network, systems and open-device expertise of Sprint Nextel and its strategic partners to deliver innovative integrated product applications to the business and consumer markets. As part of Sprint’s Integrated Solutions Group, Ward’s organization plays a lead role in the creation of a broad range of solutions for B2B and B2C customers and partners, including “infotainment “ (such as e-readers and netbooks), asset tracking, fleet management, telematics, smart grid and telemedicine initiatives, to name a few.
